What is Neolith?

Neolith is a new and revolutionary, compact sintered surface, made from natural clays, feldspar, silica and mineral oxides.

Neolith is a high quality, premium product, and one of the hardest and most durable benchtop surfaces available today.

Boasting an extensive range of trendy colours and finishes, Neolith is a premium, designer product that can be used in numerous applications for interior and exterior walls, floors, surfaces and furnishings.

Why use Neolith?

Virtually Indestructible.
Of all the kitchen benchtop materials available today, Neolith is the most resistant to heat, scratching, chipping and staining. No need for cutting boards or trivets, hot pots and pans can be placed directly onto the kitchen benchtop.

Hygienic & Environmentally Friendly.
Neolith has an extremely low absorption rate, suitable for direct contact with food and is 100% resistant to fire and high temperatures without giving off any toxic fumes.

Large Slab Sizes.
Neolith slabs are available in large format and variable thicknesses making it the most efficient solution for the most demanding home and architectural projects.

The size of the slabs makes Neolith the perfect solution for large surfaces, with fewer joints and excellent mechanical properties. It’s also very easy to transport, handle and install.

The standard slab thickness for a Neolith benchtop is 12mm, however this can be increased to any specified thickness using a mitred join.

The Eco Choice

Neolith is 100% eco-friendly, using natural materials and technologies that respect the environment.

Neolith obtains its colours from 100% natural pigments that withstand the passage of time.

Neolith is entirely made up of natural clays, feldspar, silica and mineral oxides.

Neolith emerged from the evolution of treatment processes of construction materials, combining the finest raw materials with the most advanced industrial technology.

Cutting & Installing Neolith

Being a fairly new product in Australia, there are not a lot of stonemasons currently working with Neolith as the process is a little more demanding than that of natural or reconstituted stone. Due to the extreme hardness and strength of the product, a special blade is required for cutting (different to the blade used for stone and other materials). For most, the process is inconvenient and costly as the need to switch blades stops production and reduces workflow efficiency.

At Benchmark we have a dedicated machine used solely for cutting Neolith, meaning we can produce it faster and more cost effectively. Our stonemasons are preferred by Neolith manufacturers due to their high level of skill and confidence working with this product.
